 Headteacher's WelcomeI would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about our school and the children that come here. It is a small, rural church school nestled in the Somerset countryside. You may think that it is a sleepy little place where time goes by and we stand and watch it, but if that is so you would not be further from the truth. Our school is a vibrant place filled with buzzing, lively children willing and eager to learn. We embrace all that is new and wonderful while at the same time we hold on to all the things that have been a foundation stone for good schools for many years. We prize above everything, love and respect for all living things, good manners and thoughtful behaviour, kindness and compassion and forgiveness. We think our school is like a big family and that is certainly how it feels....safe and secure. Our children learn skills that will enable them to live a successful life. They have a wonderful attitude to learning that ensures they make excellent progress in all areas, not just the curriculum. We adopt an approach that enables all children to succeed. We are extremely proud of our children and want them to know that. Their self esteem is of paramount importance, as that is what we believe enables them to live life to the full.
