PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION (PTA)
We are a small, friendly group of parents, staff members and friends of the school who organise social events to help raise crucial funds that are not included in the school’s budget.
Our main events held each year include the Mother’s Day and Christmas Coffee Mornings in Castle Cary, Harvest Supper, May Fayre and End of Term BBQ and Beetle Drive.
Apart from being fun events for both pupils and their families, the money we make helps to pay for individual class trips, equipment and resources, books and treats such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Lunch and a present from Father Christmas.
PTA meetings are held roughly once every six weeks in the evening in a local pub, unless an afternoon meeting is called for. Everyone is welcome to attend any of our meetings and you do not have to join the committee if you do not want to. Any help and input you can give is always very much appreciated in benefiting the school and our children.
We’re always looking for volunteers for an hour (or two) to help at PTA events. Any time you might be able to spare would be much appreciated!
Current PTA committee members are : Chair – Alison Lawes, Vice Chair – Marie-Helene Robinson, Treasurer – Cazzy Tuff, Secretary – Marie-Helene Robinson.
